Last summer I made this dip with my granddaughters and a couple of friends. The girls love cooking together and then enjoying the fruit of their labor. It was so pleasant to hear them chat and critique what they made. Young girls are so sweet. They still talk about their favorite dip and I know they have taken the recipe and made it for their families. We also made quiche. If you want the recipe, click Quiche Lorraine.
It is pretty hard to resist a plate of sweet, juicy, seasonal fruit and it is even better with creamy dip. A little like eating lightly sweetened cheesecake. It quickly disappears.
To a mixing bowl, add the cream cheese, vanilla and orange zest.
With a mixer, beat on medium speed until smooth. Add powdered sugar and beat to incorporate.
Pour in orange juice and continue beating until smooth.
Add cream; continue to beat until thick and creamy, a minute or two more.
