Start Over

By Lorraine

Encouraging poem, Start Over by Woodrow Kroll as the new year begins. When December comes and you're feeling blue, God gives a January just for you.

starting over.  starting afresh.  new beginning

Start Over by Woodrow Kroll

Start Over poem by Woodrow Kroll

The option is always available to us but January brings those hopes and goals more into focus.
I read this poem by Woodrow Kroll (of Woodrow Kroll Ministries) for the first time when visiting Debby @ My Favorite Things.
It brought to mind one of my favorite Bible verses:
Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.
Micah 7:18

More encouraging verses

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13-14

The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
Exodus 15:2
He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power.
Isaiah 40:29
Other encouraging posts:
Break Every Chain
Hope. Truth. There is power in the Name of Jesus. To break every chain. Every chain. Video and song lyrics from Jesus culture.
I Look Not Back
I look not back, but I look up into the face of Jesus.

This touched my heart deeply. Thank you for sharing it. My first thought was that it relates to the word God gave my sweetheart and I for this year.

I love the thought that one can start each day or each year with a clean slate – God gives second chances all the time!

January does bring us a sense of renewal and fresh starts, doesn't it? Just like every morning is new. How our Creator knew what He was doing. Thanks for the good word this morning!
