*Usually I cream the sugar and butter together with a mixer. This time I melted the butter and whisked together. I doesn’t seem to make a difference.

Hopefully someone will get back to me today as i would like to make this later this afternoon. Do you drain the pineapple, or use the juice?
This looks so good! Never had anything like this before. We hope you'll be back to our "Strut Your Stuff Saturday". We loved having you! -The Sisters
Hi Tammy, Regular white bread works fine but I really like using potato bread. Wanting to use left over bread one time, I used part wheat bread but didn't like the flavor too much.
Hi, this recipe looks great. Do you or anyone else have any suggestions or preferences on what kind of bread to use? Thank you. Tammy
This looks delicious! I will have to try it out for my crew. I'm glad I found your blog at the Creations by Kara party. I'm a new follower too, so I can keep in touch. I would love if you stopped by and followed back on LF and GFC. Nice to meet you, Lori
My great grandmother used to make this, but call it pineapple souffle. I make it for every holiday now because it's such a huge hit. I've never seen anyone else make it!!
We have always had pineapple and banana "fruit salad" with our Easter ham. Last year it was forgotten and I really missed it- this may be even better though!!!
I'd love it if you'd share this idea at Food Adventure Friday. https://teachinggoodeaters.blogspot.com/2012/03/food-adventure-friday-link-up-now-with.html
By the way, I LOVE the way you did the photo collage of the cooking process!! Brilliant!
Oh this does sound delicious! I love pineapple in any way, shape or form and will definitely have to try this! Cute helpers like yours make every recipe more yummy!
Love your helper! The bread pudding looks really good!

That sure does sound delicious. I'll have to give it a try. Thank you for sharing.
Yummy! And your little helper is very cute. 🙂 Best wishes, Tammy
Found you through the Grace At Home link party. This is perfect timing, because I just bought a bunch of canned pineapple on sale at CVS this week. Thanks for the great recipe idea!
I’d like to add something crunchy to this great dish. Trying to decide if I should try celery or chopped water chestnuts. Thinking of traditional dressing as including celery. Also, water chestnuts are often in Asian dishes with pineapple. Any thoughts??? Another addition could be fresh cranberries, but that doesn’t provide the crunchiness I’m seeking.
I have never had this, but I can just imagine its goodness! My mom always served pineapple with ham, so this will bring back memories. Yummy!
Thanks so much for joining Grace at Home!
We have served this recipe for years and it is so delicious! Thanks for sharing it so others can taste it.

Now that looks great…but your little helper is by far the best part!
That looks so good, I have to make that!! Looks like you have an excellent helper! I miss those days when my little helper was around! Just found your blog, love it and am now following!

We are having pork roast but I bet this would go good with it, too! Thanks for the recipe. Cute pic! (:
we have rolls and pinapple with ham almost every week – this will be a good way to change things up without shocking anyone too much! Thanks for the yummy idea!
I love pineapple. Growing up in Brazil, my mom would make me pineapple pie for my birthday treat. This sounds delicious too. I'm going to have to try it. Thanks!
Also becoming a follower.

Spoonbread? I don't think I've ever heard of such a thing, but it sure does sound good! Based on your advice, AND the very scrumptious looking photos you've posted here, I think I'd like to add this to my own Easter Sunday menu! Thanks so much for sharing your recipe! ~tina
I've never had spoonbread, but your pineapple spoonbread looks amazing and sounds delicious! Cute little helper you have there:)
This sounds so yummy!

Now all I need is some pineapple and a cute little baker. 🙂 Thank you for sharing!
sounds delicious especially with the pineapple. Reminds me of the bread pudding they make at work
This sounds so **good**! =)
Ham and pineapple – oh does it get much better than that! Kids are going to love this!!
Looks delicious! I think it will have to make an appearance at our table this Easter!
This sounds sort of familiar to me but I don't think I've ever made it, or not for years. It almost sounds like a dessert! Thanks for the recipe and your helper is adorable!
wow i have never heard of this before but it looks awesome! I found you from Not just a Housewife, thanks for sharing!
You always have such interesting recipes on your blog…think I may try this one too!
My gosh, Lorraine! What a great side dish for ham. I always bake my ham with pineapple slices on it with marchino cherries in the center of each slice…and the rest dotted with cloves. Everyone always dives to get a pineapple slice so this is a great recipe for me. I am copying it over. xo Diana
This looks delicious! Thanks for sharing the recipe. ~Mel
Yummy! It seems similiar to a bread pudding which is always a hit:-)
Looks easy to make, and good too. Thanks for sharing.
This is one of the things I like most about blogging – the chance to try things that aren't part of my everyday life. I've read about spoonbread in novels, but it isn't something that is served up here. I will give it a try with the Easter ham as it sounds intriguing!
That sounds delicious!
Looks delicious! And what a beautiful little helper you have.
This sounds heavenly! Nice to have such a sweet helper!
