Chocolate Brownie Trifle

By Lorraine

Top an easy brownie truffle parfait with chocolate pudding and whipped cream with little red, white and blue star sprinkles for a patriotic themed dessert. What to do when you have a recipe fail? My intention was to make some amazing brownie bites that our friend brought to our end-of-year Bible study. She told me she followed a recipe from her granddaughter and it sounded super simple. I’m not sure what went wrong but I had a problem on my hands. I had a brownie bites bomb but a quick-thinking, chocolate brownie trifle saved the day!

This is what happened. These babies were not coming out of the pan no way, no how. I needed to think of serving this mess in a more appetizing way.

Whilst the pans soaked, I grabbed a box of pudding mix from the pantry and a container of whipped topping from the freezer. I needed a solution to this messy problem. Brownie bites bomb to a brownie trifle recover plan had begun!
