Display, decorate and deliver
These ornaments will bring smiles. Do you enjoy using your hands to make gifts for friends? How about adding a little something extra to presents and packages? Besides bedecking the Christmas tree with endearing babbles, you might want to display your handmade ornaments in a window or add to a wreath. When tied around a package of homemade cookies or quick bread, it is like giving two gifts. One that is consumable and one to last for years to come.
Crochet yarn stash buster
Most of the ornaments and garlands here require very small amounts of yarn so you might already have supplies to make them. It is a great way to make use of yarn left over from previous projects.

Winter is far less dreary when you have a few of these grinning fellows warming your home. Frosty friends with Pom Pom hats and carrot noses are cute to display even after the holiday decorations are packed away. Get the pattern by clicking Crochet Snowman Head.
The Christmas stocking is really iconic and these little ones couldn’t be cuter! Worked up in various color combinations or even crocheted in a solid color, they are adorable. Decorate the tree, use as a package for a monetary gift or hang from the fireplace mantel. And if there is a new baby in the family, begin an collection and make one as a 1st Christmas ornament. Click Little Christmas Socks for the pattern.
I love the look of this garland done in shades of green. I can think of so many places to display this for the holidays but I also think it would be great in a boys room all year long. Imagine the soft lighting when attached to a string of lights, giving the room a warm glow! Click Christmas Tree Garland for the pattern.
Who isn’t fascinated by snow globes? An adorable crochet version is complete with falling snowflakes and a carrot-nosed snowman. Click Snow Globe Ornament for the pattern.
So simplistic and yet so lovely. I love how sweet these stars are with a tiny button securing the hanging ribbon loop. They’re called Granny Stars. Isn’t that a perfect name? 🙂 Click Granny Stars for the pattern.

How about an apple for the teacher? And this cheeky one isn’t just for the holidays. It can brighten a classroom desk all semester. Click Apple Ornament for the pattern.
The sweet angel is one of my favorite. With her white wings, tiny buttons and scalloped-edge dress, she is precious. Click Crochet Angel with Wings for the pattern.
Remember those large-bulb, colorful strands of lights? They were my dad’s favorite. Mom liked the small lights but not daddy. He used them inside and also outdoors on an evergreen bush in the front yard. This crochet version is so easy and yet a whimsical decoration. Click Crochet Christmas Light Appliques for the pattern.

Oh my word, I love ALL of these. I do have lots of yarn in my stash so these would be great projects for when I’m sitting in front of the tv in the evening.
