Classic Pumpkin Pie

classic Pumpkin Pie is delicious with or without whipped cream. A very easy recipe that makes two pies for Thanksgiving or the autumn time of year.I have tried lots of different pumpkin pie recipes and always come back to this one. Truly a classic recipe and just the right sweetness and texture. Pumpkin Pie is so easy especially when using pre-made pie crusts from the refrigerated section of the grocery store. So much better that store-bought pies and much less expensive that pies from the bakery.

Bake the pies a day ahead for convenience. Freshly baked pumpkin pie will keep for about 3 to 4 days in the fridge. Just cool completely and cover loosely with aluminum foil or plastic wrap before placing in the refrigerator.

They all look delicious! We always have pumpkin pie and my husband also likes an apple pie for dessert. The crumb looks like one he’d enjoy. I’d also like to try the pumpkin pound cake in a Nordic Ware turkey shaped pan I own. That pan needs a dense cake in order to show all its detail. Thanks, Lorraine!
