As the year comes to its close, I am finishing up a little devotional book titled, He Whispers Your Name by Cherie Hill. This page from June 30th is one of my favorites.

Me too. And the truth is, the battle really does begin in the mind.
The source of strength to Keep Going
I love this short saying. Just two little words. Seeing it helps me to stay motivated and inspired. Provided, that is, I know the source of the strength to help me Keep Going.
That source for me is God and He is more than willing to guide and lead us through life and bless us with the skills and motivation to get through even the most difficult days.
Scripture that will help to to Keep Going
Filling my head with Bible verses shifts my outlook and attitude from discouragement to optimism. If you’d like, take a moment to read through this list of Bible verses to encourage you when you want to quit. Pick one or two that really speak to you. Write it on a note card and carry it around with you. Try to memorize it. Meditate on it and let the truth strengthen you.
- He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:29-31
- And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
- But he said to me, “My Grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

Your one true companion throughout life is God and He will never abandon you or let you down.
