Classic Pumpkin Pie
I have tried lots of different pumpkin pie recipes and always come back to this one. Truly a classic recipe and just the right sweetness and texture. Pumpkin Pie is so easy especially when using pre-made pie crusts from the refrigerated section of the grocery store. So much better that store-bought pies and much less expensive that pies from the bakery.
Bake the pies a day ahead for convenience. Freshly baked pumpkin pie will keep for about 3 to 4 days in the fridge. Just cool completely and cover loosely with aluminum foil or plastic wrap before placing in the refrigerator.
Classic Pecan Pie
Another classic pie that I love any time of year and a great addition to the dessert buffet. I have a hard time choosing between pumpkin pie and Pecan Pie so I have a slice of both! It is Thanksgiving after all, right? 😉
Apple Crumb Pie
Apple Crumb Pie with its buttery and crunchy topping over sweet and tender apples is dessert perfection. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and enjoy a heavenly experience on a fork!
Pumpkin Bread
Iconic Pumpkin Bread during the autumn time of year is just as lovely for dessert as it is for snacking or breakfast. Sliced and served with cream cheese or toasted with butter, it is a yummy and moist treat. Since it freezes so well, you can make it well in advance. This recipe makes two standard-size loaves or 7 mini loaves just right for sharing!
Frosted Applesauce Bread
Another delightful quick bread is Frosted Applesauce Bread. This easy recipe is full of the warm flavors of cinnamon, allspice & nutmeg. You don’t even need a mixer to make this delicious quick bread.
Fig & Date Nut Bread
Not traditional as a Thanksgiving dessert but I want to share Fig & Date Nut Bread because it is most tasty. It does work as a dessert but you might want to make it should you have overnight guests. Lovely for breakfast with coffee and it is another bread that freezes well, making it great to have handy.
Apple Pear Crisp
Old-fashioned Apple Pear Crisp with a crumbly oatmeal topping has a perfect blend of apple, pear, citrus, cinnamon & nutmeg. It is an easy, uncomplicated recipe and always gets favorable comments when served. this is another desserts that is wonderful served with ice cream of even with whipped cream.

They all look delicious! We always have pumpkin pie and my husband also likes an apple pie for dessert. The crumb looks like one he’d enjoy. I’d also like to try the pumpkin pound cake in a Nordic Ware turkey shaped pan I own. That pan needs a dense cake in order to show all its detail. Thanks, Lorraine!
