Lemon Flowers ( Fleurs au Citron) Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
60 g butter
60 g icing sugar (confectioners sugar)
1 egg
60 g flour
grated peel of half an untreated lemon
DIRECTIONS:
Blend butter, icing sugar and grated lemon peel. Add the egg and beat until mixture becomes light and fluffy. Gradually sift in the flour and mix to a smooth dough. Fill the Millefleur mould and bake in oven at 170 C (350F) for about 25 minutes (I baked for 20 mins). Dust the cakes with a little icing sugar when they have cooled down or coat with icing made from 2 Tbs. icing sugar and a little lemon juice.

Hello there! This is my first visit to your blog via Cuisine Kathleen's blog party. I'm a little late getting around to everyone's post this week, but I'm glad I finally made it!
I have seen those beautiful dishes at Home Goods and longed for them. You really did a great job in the way you used them here. I LOVE that peacock bowl on the left!!! What a graceful little thing!!! Your cousin must love you very much to have gifted you with such a treasure!
Very nice post and very pretty pictures! Have a wonderful week!!!

What a beautitiful tablescape with the peacocks and blue and green hues. The china with the peacock was one I debated acquiring for it is so lovely. Your lamp and turquoise dish with the peacock are gorgeous. This is a pretty presentation with birds and the flowers so coordinated. I love how you used the table and chairs with the lace tablecloth/curtain for an airy outdoor feel. The lemon flower teacakes are so yummy looking and thanks for sharing the recipe.

Your table setting is so pretty and those cakes…..yum! They look so light. Here in the UK, the cakes that we call 'tea cakes' are more bread like, large flat and with dried fruit. We would slice, toast and butter them and eat with a cup of tea.

Now that is a coincidence. That first photograph…. just what we had for desert this last Sunday. And now the second photograph…. the perfect table for two, and I like that tapestry. Simply beautiful.
