I did not see any reply’s to questions so I’m not sure if you check this or just email response but how long does it take to set and how many days is it good for? I need one for tomorrow and one for Sunday and I was wondering if I can make them today
Lorraine says
Hello Carrie,
The strawberry pie thickens right away and sets as it cools. I think the pie is best the day it is made. It would probably be good made one day ahead but I think the crust would become soggy longer than that.
Hope this is helpful.
Kindly, Lorraine

CAN I USE FROZEN WHOLE STRAWBERRIES INSTEAD OF FRESH.
Lorraine says
Hello Monica,
I have only made this strawberry pie with fresh strawberries. I would be concerned that the thawed, frozen strawberries would contain too much moisture for the pie to set up correctly. If you do make the pie using frozen berries, let me know how it turns out. Thank you! Lorraine

How heavenly looking. In my house there's rarely ever "too much sugar" in anything, so it might fit the bill as it is. jan

I agree with the other comment above. The photos here are beautiful, and the recipe seems easy enough. I'm sure with a decrease of the sugar amount (which is waaaay, waaay too much), this will be delicious.

This is way tooo sugary!!!! I made the pie and we are all having a sugar overload. It ruined the whole pie. 🙁 Do not follow the recipe if you don't want to just toss it in the garbage!

Hi,
I want to make this pie, but I need help…
I live in Portugal, so I don't have Jell-O.
I have another brand of Jello but to make it I don't had sugar. To make the Jell-O you have to add sugar?
To make my Jello I use 500 ml of water (+- 17 oz). Is it the same for Jell-O?
Thank you…
Mildred says
This makes me hungry. We made something similar with fresh GA peaches one summer. Hope you have a nice weekend with the family.
