Where Have You Been

By Lorraine

we’ve been to Lenape Lake in Mays Landing where PopPop John
played as a boy while visiting his aunt and uncle
who can resist climbing an old wooden fence
showing the girls where he used to canoe with his brother and where we took their mom and aunts to ice-skate in the winter

the next day we stopped by our favorite Popes’ Gardens center and while it was still too cold for the annuals we wanted, we had fun visiting the alpacas, turkeys, pheasants and many other animals
and, or course, Rosie the goat
joining The Tablescaper for her new Oh the PLACES I’ve been !

You certainly captured your beautiful granddaughters. I'd have them enlarged and printed on a canvas. What treasures! And how wonderful for those girls that they are getting to experience places that hold family memories. Research shows that just this type of experience is very important for young children. They learn their families story. Thanks for sharing!

What a nice trip down Memory Lane that must have been. It's fun to show grandchildren where we used to live and play – they are endlessly interested. It must feel so long ago to them.

It looks like a very fun trip but it appears in the photos that someone got a bit tired 🙂

Your top photo is a stunner, Lorraine. Look at her boots! How cute. So nice to share family history. Every photo needs red or pink in it, doesn't it? The color just makes the whole photo come alive.
