Thankful for Family this Thanksgiving Day!

By Lorraine

It is early morning but my helpers are already up and in the kitchen with me. We are preparing a 22-pound turkey for our feast later today. PopPop set up his laptop in the kitchen so we can watch the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade while we chop and dice and toss ingredients.
We even had a period of large white snowflakes fall from the sky to add to the festivities inside.

Everyone but Erin and her family were able to be together this day.
Extra special to have our Spanish guest, Aldara, join our family! We try each Thanksgiving to get a family photo and that is never easy.
The dining room table is full of traditional favorites and we are just about ready.
Many of the side dishes I serve each Thanksgiving can be found in this collection. Click Thanksgiving Side Dishes for the recipes.

There are too many little ones now for everyone to be in the dining room.  So all the little cousins sit at the kitchen table. But they don’t mind at all.

 Oh, those precious little hands, linked together while the blessing is being said. {heart}

There is always one who has trouble keeping their eyes closed 😉
Brenna requested a turkey leg days ago.  I think her eyes were bigger than her stomach!
Adults in the dining room. Oh, do I love these people.
Daughters, sons in law, sweet Spanish friend, my dear husband and my mom, all gathered together and all Ready to E-A-T!
Jill asked if I would take some photos for their Christmas Cards.
This precious family lives in up-state New York. How thrilled that they drove down to be with us.
Loving Mommy to Ryan, Brenna and Shaela.
And this guy… one super, loving Daddy.
Brad and Jill. Aren’t they adorable!

This is Jill’s twin and her precious family. They live nearby and we get to be with these grandchildren frequently. Just enough time to snap a photo of a tired family ready to head home.

What a beautiful and fun-loving family you have. So glad you had a great Thanksgiving. No snow for us here in Alabama yesterday. We had temps in the 70's, but rain is ushering in cold weather for us today. Hope you have a great weekend!
