Do you have a woodworker in your family? My guy isn’t super skilled in his workshop but he has finish a few nice projects. John made this wooden bench many years ago and it has found a home in various places around the house.Wooden Bench
Currently the bench graces the front porch. In recent years, it received a coat of white paint covering the natural wood tones that were beginning to show wear. Now, it looks fresh, bright and new again. Having a bench near the door is a perfect place to set packages down while fiddling for the house key.
And an even better place for grandchildren to gather or folks to sit a chat.
Did you notice the nose-y pup peeking out the door window? That is Raider, our miniature schnauzer.
Currently the porch is summer ready with pillows and plants.

The bench originally was made to replace chairs at our kitchen table. I like using a bench because you can squeeze in lots of little ones. And this bench has a back making it comfortable to adults.
As a toddler, our youngest daughter, Abbey loved to climb on the bench and play peek-a-boo. These photos were taken way back in 1991 and 92 when she was just a wee one.

What a fabulous bench! It looks very inviting the way you have it set up on your front porch with the black & white pillows and plants. Abbey looks too cute peeking through the bench! My congratulations to her upon her graduation this evening!
