Perky Pillow

By Lorraine

I wanted  a colorful pillow for a wicker chair in our multipurpose Nursery/Playroom/Craft studio

There is a great tutorial  for crocheting Daisy Squares at the sweet home of My Rose Valley.

This room is filled with bright morning light and nice and warm ~ just how I like it!
I worked the back in all double crochet and finished the pillow with a scalloped border.
sweet

Hello dear! Thank you for popping by, enjoying my Daisy Square pattern and sharing some link lovin'. 😀 I love the colors you have used for your squares. I've been planning on making them with a bit more faded colors, just to see the effect that will give. Love them. ♡♡♡ Annette

That is so beautiful! you do such fantastic crochet work. Looks like a great 'stash bustin' project!
By the way, I made your pineapple spoon bread for Easter and it was a huge success. I think it will now become an easter tradition in our house.

What a sweet and pretty pillow in that wicker chair. Thanks for dropping by my blog today and leaving such a kind comment. 🙂

I also enjoy many of the same things you do. And I also crochet. I once took all my yarn scraps and made a large throw with black being the main background color and the flowers/daisies being varied colors..the center of my daisy had a second layer so it gave it dimension. I gave it to my grandmother…and when she died 8 years ago, my mother said I could have it back. So, I'll think of your pillow everytime I see my throw. 🙂

Be blessed today & every day!

Hi Lorraine! Love how beautiful your pillow came out! Hope you had a wonderful Easter Sunday, and that you're enjoying the Spring season! Mother Nature's been teasing us a bit here, with the temps so up and down as they've been; but I hear sunny and warmer days are on the way! ~tina

Sweet is a good word. I like that you made the back plain and the scallop edges. the plain backing makes it all make "more of a statement" if you know what I mean. It's lovely!

The pillow is just adorable Lorraine! I love the afghan too. I have had the same one for almost thirty years–a dear friends Italian gramma crocheted one for my oldest daughter, now 29. It has lasted so long as it was done with acrylic yarn, probably Lion Heart which was popular with the elderly ladies back then:-)
