Our 2013 Christmas

By Lorraine

CHRISTMAS EVE
church then back home for our traditional Christmas Eve meal served in the family room

little Chloe helping Pop-Pop prepare French Toast Casserole for Christmas morning breakfast
 new jammies
 warm and snugly
CHRISTMAS MORNING
Taking turns reading the Christmas Story from the book of Luke and Daddy sharing why we exchange gifts and what our very best-est gift ever is then presents and breakfast
and puppy love with a nose lick from Rudy
CHRISTMAS EVENING
best time for family pics is right when they arrive
It wasn’t planned but I thought it sentimental that all of these precious children and grandchildren stand below a sign I made for John several years ago that reads…
because you loved me
umm… Erin, is there a reason everyone but you is making a silly face 😉
The girls entertained us with a short musical of song and dance.
Looking closely in the background, I noticed Rudy was entertaining himself with a snack on the table.

We did a Pollyanna gift exchange with the adults and John got Jamie.
He gave her a hat, bracelet and a card redeemable in January for a
Dad & Daughter Lunch Date
❤
Sweet Jill, looking a lot like her twin sister
❤
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

We are so blessed, my friend. Your Christmas celebration looks like fun. What a treat to have everyone together. Our family was scattered this year. Both of our grown kids and their families went other directions but we had individual times together. On Christmas Day we were able to bring my dear, little mother from the rehab center to our home to share gifts and dinner and a special time of prayer and fellowship together. That was the most precious gift God gave me this year – time with my mom in my home. Thank you for sharing your home and your family with us. I always love to stop by and see what you're doing.
