This beautiful necklace from India, an amethyst pendant was handcrafted by Parul. She is an artisan who was born and raised in Delhi.

When I received a letter from the folks at NOVICA and read their mission statement, I gladly accepted their offer to receive and review their products and post about it. Parul writes: “I design all my jewelries and experienced silversmiths help me craft them. I oversee each and every step. My designs are basically inspired by traditional Indian styles and setting, with a touch of modern elements.
This amethyst flower necklace is called, Nostalgia. Leaves and vines encircle a faceted 5-carat stone with cubic zirconium accent and is displayed on a silver rope chain.
What attracted me most to NOVICA (which is in association with National Geographic) is that they provide a bridge between the talented artists across the globe and those that appreciate unique items and want an attachment to the hands that created them.
It took me a long time to finally decide on an item because there are so many beautiful pieces to choose from.
Their categories include Home Decor, Area Rugs, Chess Sets and Games, Furniture, Mirrors, Sculpture, Vases, Tapestries. Jewelry, necklaces, rings, bracelets, Handbags, Travel Bags. A vast selection and information about each creator. I recommend visiting

to see some of the treasures offered there and the culture and tradition of pieces made by skilled artists the world over.
