It can be hard to find a really nice crochet project for the guys in your life. Especially one that will actually get used. This easy pattern for a crochet necktie is a great Father’s Day gift idea or for a young man graduating or attending a prom.

Here, grandfather and grandson allow me to take a few photos before a special occasion. Jared just completed his junior year of college and will be graduating next year. For now he has been offered an internship and will be commuting with his PopPop. If you couldn’t already tell from the photo, these two characters are like two peas in a pod.

Crochet Necktie
The crochet neckties shown in this post were made by my daughter using the pattern from Da Perfect Mix. It is a great pattern and worked out very well. These neckties were made in a solid color yarn. The gray one has a thin silver thread running through it. I have seen some great looking ties made with variegated yarn.

I think these two guys look dashing! 🙂
If you think the way to tell dad of your love for him is through his stomach, make him something yummy.
