Cranberry Fruit Conserve

By Lorraine

I tried another cranberry sauce recipe, this time one from Ina Garten.
A great accompaniment for poultry, pork or ham.
I am already looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner!

Prep Time: 15 minutes, Cook Time: 20 minutes  Yield: 4 cups
PRINT RECIPE

1 (12-ounce) bag of fresh cranberries, cleaned
1 3/4 cups sugar
1 Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
1 orange, zest grated and juiced
1 lemon, zest grated and juiced
3/4 cup raisins
3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Cook the cranberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water in a saucepan over low heat for about 5 minutes, or until the skins pop open. Add the apple, zests, and juices and cook for 15 more minutes. Remove from the heat and add the raisins and nuts. Let cool, and serve chilled.

Thank you for passing by my blog and leaving your comment on my Christmas table inspiration, and for your thoughts :).

This conserve looks lovely. I am not sure if you celebrate Christmas with a traditional turkey but we do here in New Zealand and we serve it with cranberry sauce. I think that your recipe would be a lovely change to the traditional conserve here and will link up with it closer to Christmas.

I had hoped to put together a little Christmas magazine this year and if I do would also like to include it in the magazine if that's ok. I would add a link back to your blog of course.

    Lee 🙂

I am going to try this. I usually make my cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving, but I like this for the season! With pork and chicken, waffles, yum!
