Chicken and Rooster Party

By Lorraine

Shelia is having a party…
A Heart of the Home Rooster and Chicken party.
So I searched my home.
I found lots of feathered friends perched about
but no roosters or chickens

I looked and looked.
None.

Wait.
There.
I see something
In this picture that belonged to my husbands grandparents…

(blogged about here)

yes… now I have something to bring to the party!
Visit Shelia @Note Songs for lots of chicken and rooster posts!

I love your collection of birds. I have several myself in my house. I don't think I have a rooster though. Not even in a picture. Good save on finding that one 🙂

Thanks for showing your collection of birds. I am in awe of your beautiful painting. There are so many interesting things to see in the scene such as the roaring fire where the person was working. Truly a wonderful piece of art.

Too funny. I bet if you looked even harder you could find more. I forgot I had birds too. Do they count? :)~Ames

That painting is wonderful – even if it hadn't had a single rooster. Your display of other birds has given me an idea for a follow-up post. Thanks for the inspiration.

I love your dedication to finding those yard birds.
I was not able to get any of mine to pose either. I could have had turkeys but they are not the best party guests.

    How very pretty!

I have a passion for all winged creatures; the passion quickly turned into a collection. And I know I'll never part with them.

In any event, I admire your lovely arsenal of birds scattered throughout your home, including the rooster in your framed picture!

The picture is lovely! I also loved your collage of feathered friends. Shelia's parties are always great fun. I didn't have any roosters this time, but I'm enjoying everyone else's. Thanks for sharing, Lorraine.
