Barn Swallows

By Lorraine

My photos are totally blurred and out of focus but still a thrill to see this pair of barn swallows swoop and swirl on the front porch early one morning.

Blurry or not, they're beautiful photos. The top one almost looks like a painting. Blessings!

Swallows are one of my favorite birds to watch. They are truly nature's acrobats. Great photos!

I've always liked swallows. We have a real big section of lawn we mow out in front of the house. If we mow late in the afternoon/early evening. The swallows will swoop around the mower diving for bugs coming up from the grass I guess.

They are beautiful and one year we let them build their nest on our porch and they were so mean, attacking me every time I went out side.{lol} It is funny to me now but wasn't then.
This year they came back to build and I said "no Vacancy" {smile.} Thanks for sharing as always I enjoy my visit. The wren story was beautiful.

Even 'out of focus' pictures on your blog look straight out of Country Living. Beautiful!

If you wouldn't have said anything about your pictures being out of focus I would have thought they were meant to be that way. It gives them a dreamy sort of look. What fun it had to have been to sit and watch them.

I love watching the Barn Swallows with their forked tails and curved pointed wings. I think their coloring is pretty, but
they can be messy housekeepers when living nearby ; ).
