At the Park with Grandchildren

By Lorraine

When you wake up to a sky like this…
and a break in the heat and humidity…
you just know it would be a perfect day….
to take a bunch of grandchildren to the park
so they can make silly faces

and do boy stuff
like slamming the ball

like Pop-Pop

ready to catch his fly ball

and lovin’ on baby
amused by her complaining about crawling in the grass
a toothless smile
a picnic lunch
watching crystal clear water trickling  in a stream
investigating
climbing bars
playing on swings
climbing trees
 splashing in water
Enjoying our daughter
and each other
♥

Jill, Brad and Ryan left yesterday for a week at the beach with their youth group.  Brenna and Shaela are spending the week here with us.  We have a fun filled week planned that includes tea parties, cousin sleep over, cookie making, cake baking, bubble maker constructing, boardwalk visit and a Paris birthday Party for Keri.  Whew… hope I can get a nap or two!

Fun… we love parks. It is so cool to see whent the grandchildren resemble their grandparents. Personally I see the resemblance more often then to their own parents 😉

Oh, those little ones are adorable. Those big eyes and happy smiles. Have much fun it must be to spend time in a park with such wonderful little companions.

    Hi Lorraine!

I'm glad I read Julie H's comment so I won't feel I'm the only one sappy enough to cry while viewing this post. How truely blessed you are. Although, I don't find it fair that He is giving you THE MOST BEAUTIFUL angels. I'd like to have my share someday. Don't be selfish now!LOL

BTW the funny face one is priceless, they will get such a kick out of it when they're older.

    Big hug!

What wonderful photos Lorraine. I see so much of you and John in your children and grandchildren. John and I were discussing how painful it would be for us to sit on a picnic bench like your one grandson (on his knees!!!) Oh, to be young and flexible again! ha
Have a great week and don't forget to share with us. You look just radiant surrounded by your loved ones.
