Another Wedding and a Night of Dancing!

By Lorraine

Yes, another wonderful celebration of the marriage of a sweet, young couple. Did I mention John and I have been invited to “7” weddings this year. Three of which I have been asked to photograph. (Not this one but I just can’t pass up an opportunity to shoot some photos!) Yesterday was the wedding of John’s cousin’s daughter.

 Cousins and Family
How fun to spend an evening with the people you grew up with!  John had the best time and a lot of laughs with his cousins remembering their childhood adventures and antics.  Many stories told before were just as delightful as ever (especially the ones about his older cousins babysitting him).
How did it happen that we are all now becoming the oldest generation???
Wasn’t it just a few years ago that we were attending each other’s weddings?

An added joy was having our son-in-law’s family there too.
That handsome couple in the top right photo are Josh’s parents.
The other Poppy and Grammy to Keri, Noah, Silas, Caleb & Cambrie
♥

The last dance of the evening, John’s cousin grabbed my camera and took this shot of us on the dance floor. It is a little flashed out but still special to me.

My beloved danced, not just every slow dance but almost every fast dance with me.
I am so in love with him!
No matter that our feet and calf muscles are sore today…
last night was perfect!

I never tire of seeing wedding pictures, especially when they include family and friends. You do an amazing job in the way you capture "moments". No wonder you are asked to be the photographer. Certainly, those involved in the weddings you attend, must be blessed by the pictures you share afterwards. Thank you for taking time to share them with those of us in the blogging world. The last one of you and your husband on the dance floor is a beautiful picture of the two of you. The sentiments you shared with it is even more beautiful.

Family weddings are just the best – catching up, dancing like you're 21 again and reveling in the moment. It looks like you had a grand time!

Wonderful pictures! I ask myself the same question…How did I get to be the older generation? Somehow the years flew by and I am so enjoying the weddings, sweet sixteens and graduations. The picture of you and John is lovely. Hope you're having a great Fourth.

I saw your Magnolia House under "you might also like" and was drawn to it. Just unbelievable–my dad built a similar house the year I was born, and it was on an unpaved street, we had the same aqua 57 chevy, and my parents sold it the year I was 16. … a very similar cape cod house!
