How to make crochet infinity scarf
- Use yarn in your stash and run short
- Call local shops and learn that not only do they not have the same color but the brand has been discontinued.
- Purchase additional yarn that coordinates but is slightly thicker so that you have to begin with a shorter chain length and alter directions slightly so coordinating strip is not too wide.
Notes about my scarf
Two strips were made using the now discontinued Red Heart Eco-Ways, color Fern and one strip in Lion Brand Yarn Boucle Homespun, color Pesto. Since the Boucle yarn is thicker, I chained a shorter length and worked in all double crochet but completed the last row in half double crochet so this strip would be the same width as first two.
You can easily make the scarf longer or shorter by the number of chains you begin with. Make it thicker or thinner by using double crochet, half double crochet, single crochet or a combination. Use all the same color or three different colors. It is very adaptable.
Infinity Braided Scarf Pattern
Hook G
Chain desired length, (the scarf above began with 125 chains)
Row 1: Double crochet in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across. Turn
Row 2: Chain 2; double crochet in each double crochet across
Row 3 and 4: Repeat Row 2
Knot and trim yarn ends.
Braid the three mini scarves together without twisting
Stitch ends together with a needle and length of yarn.

Oh on my neglected decorating blog…no I didn't do any prep, I think my furniture was so old it just soaked up the paint..both the blue and the stain. It has been on there for four year without any problem.
