I'm always surprised that more people don't use this recipe because it really is that good. Years ago when I was a child, my Mom and I made the same cookies for one of my friends after a hospital stay. A week or so later, my mom brought the family some food again, and the girl was well enough to visit at the door for a minute.
First thing she did was say those were the BEST cookies she ever had and her mom said she kept asking her to get the recipe. We told her there was no special recipe. Just buy the Toll House chips and follow the recipe on the back.
Many times I've given cookies, and am always surprised at how many people ask for the recipe and I still tell them the same thing.
If you are offering milk, I'll take some of your cookies right now!

Such an old faithful Tollhouse cookies!
Your photos are beautiful! I was reading some back posts and our kids got married the same summer, only we just had our second grandchild. Also was interesting I made a similar parmesan risotto recipe tonight. And lastly, I was so interested in your girls' double wedding for I have identical twin aunts and they too had a double wedding!

My three guys are the same
way–they only want chocolate
chip. I like to try all kinds
but, no, they beg and beg and
I have to make these.
At least they're yummy.

hah, Lorraine, I just made those on Sunday night for gifts to my son's teachers and put them in bags with colorful thank you notes; never thought to take a photo though but actually Nicholas did most of the work by himself! I was so impressed with him. As a 12 year old boy, he done good!
