I asked Ella what she wanted to do for her last day with me as her caregiver before heading off to begin her school career. She said, “Make gingerbread cookies!”
So here she is a-poof in flour

I think baking with a child is one of those gifts we get to participate in. Ella will remember these days with you I'm sure. How fun! And I love how you wrote that she will be heading off to begin her 'school career'. I'm sure her teacher will love her.
blessings and love,
Debbie

She is so beautiful! How blessed you have been to have her with you and what a blessing you have been to her and her parents! My granddaughters start 'big school' today too 🙂

When my oldest daughter Kendra went off to Kindergarten, her 3 year old sister, Heather, and I walked her to school. It was an unusually quiet walk home and Heather went silently to the bookcase and brought me her favorite book, "Polly's Pet", about a cat who runs away from home. As we adventured through the book once more she began to cry, "Mommie, when can I go to Heathergarten with Kendra?" Sweet memories. Thanks for sharing yours.

She is so beautiful and I know you will indeed miss her. Now think of all the fun you two will have when she gets to show you all she is learning every day. That will be something to look forward to.
Blessings~

She is darling and has been a joy to follow. She has been quite the model for your lovely crochet projects and a big helper in your kitchen. I pray the very best for her in school.
