It takes a lot to knock me off my feet, but this illness got me.
Just a head cold but packing a wallop of persistent dry coughing and now sinus.
Better than any medicine was this note and rose I found as I shuffled into the kitchen this morning.

There are places I’ll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I’ve loved them allBut of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more

Such a thoughtful husband. It shows how much he loves you.
Very sweet, thoughtful, loving hubby! I hope that you are well over that head cold!!!
Blessings & Aloha!
And thank you so very much my friend for stopping by! I hadn't been doing much blogging in a bit (I even missed getting my post up last week! and when I only barely manage to post once a week…well…)
& hope you get some time to rest after all the work with your mom's home. Hugs to you!!!
What a kind, thoughtful man God has blessed you with! I think that was the sweetest thing and must have made you feel better than any Tylenol could.
Hope by now you are feeling much better.
Oh my wow! this is darling! I have the same hubby I think! For a man to take the time to write out a sweet note….that is something to be treasured! for sure!
it's so nice to meet you. I came by from Susan's blog.
Stop in for some hot coffee…that might perk you right up! and be sure to follow the doctor's orders…
Rest as much as you can!

take good care lorraine – i hope you are well on your way to complete recovery!
ive seen plenty of sweet notes like this between unmarried couples or newly-weds…but hardly any from couples who have been married for so many years…this is what makes it so extra sweet to me!
That is so sweet!
Hope you feel better real soon!
Wish I could bring you some soup.
Oh my goodness! This is such a beautiful post. The love that you share with your husband has just blessed my heart. Thank you for sharing it. I pray you are feeling much better!

Hi! I'm here via Susan's blog. (right above me there!)What caught my attention first is your blog name. I just wrote about being grateful on Monday! My blog name is Becky Povich: Writer searching for bliss! I hope you feel better SOON. I get sinus infections A LOT, unfortunately, and I know how bad that are. My sweet husband brought me a card when I was sick about a year ago, and I posted it on my blog, too. Isn't it wonderful to have a great husband??
I'm your new follower!
In my home, we call that getting "notered." How sweet! Hope your feeling better soon.
That is very sweet indeed. I hope you are feeling better. I got goosebumps when I started reading the words to the song, and then of course, I was humming along. Have a beautiful day. Tammy
I hope you are starting to feel better! There is nothing as sweet as the love of a husband….
Oh yes to your question on my commenter … teeth, sinus, head, glands, and such fatigue. I heard some folks talking at work today about how they just can't snap back from this cold or virus and how tired they feel … so maybe it's all the same virus. Take the time to rest and recover!
Very sweet. Hope you feel better soon!
What an amazing man you have there. I don't know many men who are able to express their love so openly. It is a rare gift.
My Life by The Beatles is the only song of theirs I like, and I love it. I have always considered it to be greatly underrated.
What a sweetie you have! Feel better soon!

How precious! Takes a special guy to do something like this. Of course, you are special so that's the reason.
I hope you feel much better soon!

So sweet, I hope you feel better … it sounds like what I had a week ago–it has taken a long time to really feel well again
What a lovely example of what Godly married love is supposed to be like!
Praying you are well soon!
That is a sweet thing! Hope you're feeling better soon!

That is just precious. What a dear
special husband you have. Much like
mine. I love the rose and sweet little
birdie. That song has long been a
favorite of mine.
You know homemade chicken soup is
really a wonderful remedy for cold
symptoms.
Take care and feel stronger soon.
Hugs~
