Finished Length 21 in. [53 cm]

Circular knitting needle size 9 (5.5 mm) 16 in. (40.5 cm) long
GAUGE:
14 sts + 18 rnds = 4 in. [10 cm] over pattern st. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
COWL
Note: Cowl is worked in one piece, in the round.
Cast on 82 (89) sts. Place marker for beginning of rnd. Join by working the first st on left hand needle with the working yarn from the right hand needle, being careful not to twist sts.
Rnds 1-4: Purl.
Rnds 5-8: Knit.
Rep Rnds 1-8 until piece measures about 21 in. (54 cm), end with a Rnd 4. Bind off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.

I agree with Tina, Miss Lorraine, the cowl is beautiful but the "model" makes it look gorgeous! I absolutely love your color choice. The year I lived in Indiana was my "knitting and crocheting year" I lost focus when I returned to So Cal. The weather here always seems to draw you outdoors, even during the winter. I do have a vintage suitcase full of beautiful yarn that I hope to get to at some point, we'll see.
