I love recipes shared by friends. They are some of the very tastiest. Cheesy Chicken & Stuffing was an entree dish shared at a potluck dinner and it was a hit! An easy recipe of baked chicken in a creamy sauce topped with stuffing and melted cheese. And best of all… it is a cinch to make!
Editor’s note: This is an updated version of an article originally posted February 2010 with better photos and additional information.
How to make cheesy chicken and stuffing
Begin with skinless, boneless chicken breasts. Arrange them in a lightly greased 13×9 inch baking dish. Top with cheese slices. You can use Swiss cheese but American cheese tastes great too.
In a bowl, combine soup and wine (or orange juice).
Stir until combined.
Spoon soup mixture evenly over chicken and cheese.
Sprinkle with crushed stuffing mix evenly over the top.
Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the stuffing.
Lightly sprinkle with garlic powder and then the grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake in a preheated 350 F. oven for 45 to 55 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through. You might have to adjust the baking time depending on the thickness of the chicken breasts.
Now doesn’t that look good 🙂
