Reliving the delightful experiences of our London trip last year, and after sharing a traditional breakfast in my last post, I’m now sharing ideas for a lovely English Afternoon Tea.
The table setting includes a cup I bought at Buckingham Palace, and my vintage pink Rosaline swirl dishes.
Vintage appliqued napkins and place mats along with pink pearl-handled flatware and my last jar of Buckingham Palace blackcurrant jam are added.
I suppose once I open and use up this last jar of jam, I’ll just have to go back and get more 😉
After our tour of Buckingham Palace, John and I enjoyed an elegant dessert and coffee at the outside café.
English Afternoon Tea
This three-tiered server offers foods similar to what we had in a London bakery.
Shortbread and pieces of pistachio fudge entice from the top tier. And pieces of my favorite pistachio fudge from Fudge Kitchen on the Ocean City, New Jersey Boardwalk.
The middle tier includes scones, raspberry cream cheese coffee cake and slices of glazed rolls.
Here are links to some of these recipes:
Simple roast beef and cheese sandwiches fill the bottom tier. The sandwiches we had in London were not elaborate, usually a bit of cheese, chicken or chicken salad on a baguette with lettuce and tomato.
Wish you all could join me for a lovely English Tea because I know I would have so much fun spending the afternoon with you!

Oh, how I miss this delightful city!
