I have made the stars by cutting my own strips in various widths and lengths using wrapping paper and even newspaper comic pages. It is tedious cutting my own so I now purchase strips but you might enjoy experimenting.
Stars in just blue and white adorn this tree. The white stars are waxed and the blue ones are not.
